A note from the Chief Geek:
I've bought, used and stopped using lots of screw-holding screwdrivers and screw starters and screw holders over the years.

They are much-needed tools for electronics and automotive work, and doing stuff around the house, but must of them are crap -- poorly designed, poorly made, and hard to use.

The drivers combine a shaft insulator (to keep you from getting zapped if you're macho enough to screw around with a live circuit) with the screw-holding mechanism, in a simple, elegant, and effective design that works well with both flat blades and phillips blades.

The blade lock engages and disengages with a simple thumb movement. When you try it, and see what an obvious design it is, you'll wonder why no one thought of it before.
