Hydra (or "octopus" or" Medusa") adapters

The handy Hydra connector is named after a nasty multi-headed reptile in a classic Greek myth. The ugly monster hid in a swamp near Argos, and occasionally came out to terrorize the neighborhood.
Heracles the Argonaut (Romans called him Hercules) struck off its heads with his club, but each time he knocked one off, two more grew in its place.
Eventually, Mighty Heracles burned away all the heads except for one, which was immortal. Herc buried it under a huge rock, saving the people from danger.
Later on, Heracles/Hercules was the subject of a bunch of bad movies, and a constellation in the sky was named after Hydra.
Actually, we here at PhoneGeeks.com think the Hydra adapter is more like Medusa, a mythological maiden who was so beautiful that Athena got jealous, and turned her hair into a bunch of hissing snakes. Medusa was so scary that any person or animal that looked at her, turned into stone.
