The PhoneGeeks VersaPlug is a "universal" modular plug that can be used on cords with 2, 3, or 4 wire pairs, 26 - 22 gage solid or stranded.

Plug contacts have 50 microinches minimum of gold plating over nickel and meet TIA-968-A and IEC 60603-7 specifications.

Its unusual narrow-nose design fits into both 6-position and 8-position jacks, without causing any damage. It's great as a replacement plug, or as an upgrade.
